The final numbers will be updated after the evening and night shows. The film is very close to the ₹500 crore milestone and might reach it if more people come to watch the evening shows. On Thursday, October 16, the film completed its second week at the box office with ₹147.85 crore. It faced a 56.18% drop in earnings compared to the first week.

Kantara Chapter 1 has grossed ₹681 crore worldwide so far. The makers claim the movie has crossed ₹717.50+ crore globally. The film may soon become the highest-grossing Indian film of the year, overtaking Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, which made ₹808.7 crore worldwide. Both films were made on a budget of ₹130 crore and became blockbusters.
