Sacked AAP minister Kapil Mishra ended his six-day-long hunger strike on Monday, demanding details of the foreign trips of five Aam Aadmi Party leaders.

He was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on Sunday, after he fainted during a press conference. As the doctors had declared that they won’t discharge him till he starts taking liquids, Mishra declared that he is ending his strike.

He began the strike questioning the AAP about where the party’s money is going and demanded to know the details of foreign travel by AAP leaders Sanjay Singh, Ashish Khetan, Satyendar Jain, Raghav Chaddha and Durgesh Pathak Mishra. He was told that there was not sufficient money for party campaigns therefore, demanded an answer for the same

He had accused AAP of being involved in financial irregularities and routing funds through ‘shell companies’. He claimed AAP convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had ‘knowledge’ of these things.

He demanded for Kejriwal’s resignation and said that he will drag him to Tihar.

“Yeh ab spasht hai ki Kejriwal bhrasht hai (It’s clear that Kejriwal is corrupt)… either he should resign, or I will drag him by his collar to Tihar jail,” Mishra said before he fainted during thepress conference.

On Sunday, Dr AK Gadpayle, medical superintendent of Dr RML hospital, said, “He was basically suffering from starvation syndrome, the symptoms shown by the body when deprived of food. The hot sunny weather caused dehydration as well.”
