Karnataka government postpones teacher’s eligibility test amid Covid-19 outbreak

To curb the spread of coronavirus infection, the government has taken several strict measures including the closure of many schools and institutions.

In the wake of surging cases COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21-day complete lockdown across the nation on Tuesday, March 24. To curb the spread of coronavirus infection, the government has taken several strict measures including the closure of many schools and institutions.

Now, the Centralised Admission Cell has postponed the teacher’s eligibility test (TET) in Karnataka.

Karnataka Education Minister S.Suresh Kumar tweeted and said, the teacher eligibility test slated to be conducted on April 11 has been postponed due to the nationwide lockdown that is now in effect.

Earlier, the exam was preponed from April 12 to April 11. The admit cards were supposed to be available for the candidates on April 1. As per the updates, no revised date has been announced yet but it will be out soon.

The CBSE and the ICSE along with the NTA  have postponed their board exams for classes 10th and 12th along with the national level entrance examination – JEE Main 2020 April session.

For further details, about the release of the new datasheets for the examinations will be out by the respective boards as soon as the conditions are restored back to normal in the country.
