Karnataka SSLC dates 2020: Karnataka education minister S Suresh Kumar has announced the SSLC exam dates on Monday, May 18, 2020. Earlier, Karnataka SSLC examinations were supposed to conduct between March 27 and April 9, 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis and the subsequent lockdown.
The minister declared that the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) will hold SSLC exam between June 25 to July 4 and the PUC exam for English paper will be conducted on June 18, 2020.
“Examinations for Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) will be conducted between June 25 and July 4 in Karnataka. Exams for English paper of Pre-University Course (PUC) will be held on June 18: Karnataka Education Minister S Suresh Kumar,” ANI tweet says.
The minister for primary and secondary education had conducted a meeting with the department officials to discuss and talk about the viability of conducting the exam.
S Suresh Kumar said that in the current COVID 19 pandemic, it is important to carry out inspections while taking care of the interests of students. Keep these issues in mind when determining the schedule
Along with inter-state and inter-district mobility is also a major issue as public transport not available and also due to 14-day institutional quarantine norms.
While speaking to TOI, the minister said that an idea has been introduced to allow students appear for the exam in the district where they currently are then at their allocated exam centre.
