A woman was stabbed to death at her house in Kollam by a man who had an affair with her daughter. Sateesh, the accused, has been taken into custody by the Kulathupuzha police.
Marykutty Vargheese, a resident of ESM Colony, Kulathupuzha, has been identified as the victim. Sateesh was in love with Vargheese’ daughter, Lissa, who he had met over Facebook. He wanted to marry her but Lissa told him that her family is looking for a groom and cut her contacts with him.
Sateesh took a taxi from Madurai and arrived in Kulathupuzha to look for Lissa. In absence of Lissa, Marykutty brushed off his intentions of marrying her. The quarrel resulted in Sateesh stabbing her.
Mrs Vargheese after suffering the cuts, ran out of the house, bleeding intensely. She fell down the road and was rushed to a private hospital by the locals, where she soon lost her life.
Two killed in Mumbai high-rise blaze
Sateesh was caught by the locals after which police took him into the custody. The Taxi driver who drove him to the house, is also under custody.
