Why December Instalment Is Still Pending
Reports say the Maharashtra government released the November instalment in the first week of January 2026. Officials told Nav Bharat Times that the December payment is still waiting for approval. The delay happened because local elections are going on in the state. Due to elections, the Model Code of Conduct is active. Because of this rule, the Finance Department has not yet approved the funds.
Because of this situation, beneficiaries need to wait longer. Some media reports say the December instalment may come by the end of January or in the first week of February. However, there is still no official confirmation from the government side. GoodReturns also said it could not verify this information on its own.

The Maharashtra government started the Ladki Bahin Yojana in July 2024. The Mahayuti government launched this scheme to help women who need financial support. The full name of the scheme is “Mazi Ladki Bahin”, which means “My Sister, the Chief Minister’s Daughter”.
