The 12th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will be played between England and Bangladesh at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on June 8.
Surprisingly, the underdogs Bangladesh have defeated England in last two world cups- 2011 & 2015 and a win in today’s match against the hosts would complete their winning hat-trick against England in Cricket World Cups.
After dominating South Africa by 104 runs in their opening fixture, the hosts England suffered a 14 run defeat by Pakistan in their second CWC 2019 fixture. England are the favourites to lift the world cup trophy this year and will be looking to solidify their place in top 4.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, defeated South Africa by 21 runs in their first match up while lost the hard fought match by 2 wickets from New Zealand. Bangladesh are the underdogs who have the capability to upset the favourites in the tournament.
With all 10 teams at the World Cup part of the round-robin group stage, each team will play a total of nine matches before the knockout stages, starting July 9. The top four teams will qualify for the knockout stages.
