The Indian National Congress (INC) on Sunday, March 10, when the Election Commission announced the dates for the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections in the country, Congress shared a video of party President Rahul Gandhi.

The Congress video shared on Twitter shows Rahul Gandhi reaching out to the people and farmers. The song “Aarambh Hai Prachand” from the film Gulaal, sung by Piyush Mishra, plays in the background while Gandhi is seen in an aggressive mode.

The video aims to project Rahul Gandhi as a politician who connects with the masses irrespective of age groups and demographics. The Congress also wrote in the caption to the video that, “we will defeat the government of lies and have to get ready for the task in hand, as this time victory will be ours.”

Earlier in the day, the Election Commission (EC) announced schedule for the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will be held in the country from April 11 to May 23. Voting for the national polls will be held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19. The counting of votes will be held on May 23. With the announcement of election dates, the Model of Conduct has come into place with immediate effect.
