As we head to vote towards the phase 1 Lok Sabha elections tomorrow i.e (April 11), ease up the process by checking your name in the voter’s list as it is important to have your name in the list in order to cast your valuable vote.
After you check your name in the list, you can download your voter slip or ID and carry it along with you to the polling station for casting vote.
Here’s how you can download your voter slip or ID before the phase 1 elections
Step 1: Visit the official website of National Voter Services Portal’s (NVSP)
Step 2: In the electoral roll search your name and click on it. a new page will be directed.
Step 3: Enter details such as your name, father/husband name, district, state, CAPTCHA code, etc and then click search.
Step 4: If your name will be there, it will appear at the bottom of the page.
Step 5: Under action click on view details and the page will be directed to your voter slip or ID.
Step 6: Click on Print Voter Information’ at the bottom of your voter slip and take a print out for the phase 1 polling day.
If your name doesn’t appear following the first three steps, you are not eligible to cast vote in the Lok Sabha elections.
The states that are going to polls in the phase 1 of Lok Sabha election are: Andhra Pradesh (25 parliamentary constituencies), Arunachal Pradesh (2), Assam (5), Bihar (4), Chhattisgarh (1), Jammu and Kashmir (2), Maharashtra (7), Manipur (1), Meghalaya (2), Mizoram (1), Nagaland (1), Odisha (4), Sikkim (1), Telangana (17), Tripura (1), Uttar Pradesh (8), Uttarakhand (5), West Bengal (2), Andaman (1) and Lakshadweep (1).
