Lok Sabha Elections Phase 5: On Monday, the fifth of seven Lok Sabha elections will be held, bringing the election closer to its conclusion.
The first four rounds of voting took place on April 19, 26, May 7 and 13, while the last two phases were conducted on May 25 and June 1.
In Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, voters queue at a polling station during the fourth phase of voting (May 13).
On June 4, the votes for the 542 Lok Sabha seats will be counted.
Lok Sabha Phase 5 Voting
Polls will open at 7 am and close at 6 pm, but voters standing in the queue at 6 pm will be able to exercise their right to vote.
The fifth phase involves states/UTs and constituencies
With only 49 seats across six states and two union territories, and 695 candidates, this is the smallest phase of voting.

The Congress party’s Gandhi family holds Lok Sabha seats in Amethi and Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh.
Sonia Gandhi, who won her fifth consecutive election from Rae Bareli, became her party’s lone MP in the country’s most populous state. Rahul Gandhi, her son, lost to Smriti Irani of the BJP.
