Lok Sabha Recruitment 2020 notification released: Check details here

The notification has been published by the Lok Sabha regarding the recruitment of 3 vacant posts. Parliament of India, Recruitment Branch, Lok Sabha Secretariat has called qualified applicants for the jobs. The complete application forms must be sent to the authorities by January 13, 2020.

There is 1 vacancy for each post of the curatorial assistant, conservation assistant, technical assistant.

All the posts are level 7 posts with a salary between Rs 44900 – 142400. The upper age limit for a candidate is set as 27 years.

For curatorial assistant post, a candidate must have a master’s degree in history with a specialisation in modern Indian history, or master’s degree in museology, or a bachelor’s degree in history. In addition, 1-year experience in a reputed museum is required from masters degree holders, and 2 years from bachelor’s degree holders.

For the conservation assistant post, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. They should have 2 years’ experience in a reputed conservation laboratory or museum.

For technical assistant, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or applications to apply. Hence, 2 years experience in operation, maintenance and regular upgradation of computer accessories.

Lok Sabha recruitment will hold aptitude tests with three sections A, B, C for all the posts. However, the time table of the exam differs for each post.

For curatorial assistant, part A exhibits in parliament museum will be of 30 marks, part B will be museum techniques of 40 marks, and part C will be proficiency in computers of 30 marks. The exam will be of 45 minutes duration.

For conservation assistant aptitude test, part A exhibits in parliament museum of 30 marks, part B as museum techniques including conservation of museum artefacts of 40 marks, and part C will be proficiency in computers of 30 marks. The exam will be of 45 minutes duration.

For aptitude test for technical assistant, part A exhibits in parliament museum of 20 marks, proficiency in projectors and other electronic equipments of 40 marks, and proficiency in computers of 40 marks. The exam will be of 40 minutes duration.

Qualified candidates will be called for the interview round. To apply, interested and eligible candidates need to go to loksabha.nic.in.

  • Click on the ‘Recruitment section’ option
  • Then, click on “Advt. No. 1/2019 – Filling up of vacancies in the grades of Curatorial Assistant, Conservation Assistant and Technical Assistant in Parliament Museum Service in Lok Sabha Secretariat on Direct Recruitment basis.”

Note: Application form is within the notification and it should have to be sent to the authorities on time as per instructions mentioned in the notification.
