Lokah OTT release: Dulquer Salmaan-backed film Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra is now a big hit. The movie earned over Rs 270 crore worldwide and broke many records at the Malayalam box office. People loved the story, the action, and the visuals, making it one of the most successful films of the year.
The film stars Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead, along with Chandu Salimkumar, Kalliyankattu Neeli, Raghunath Paleri, Durga C. Vinod, Vijayaraghavan, Nimish Ravi, Chaman Chakko, and music by Jakes Bejoy. There are also special appearances by Naslen, Sandy, Mammootty, and Tovino Thomas. Directed by Dominic Arun, the film released on August 28, 2025, and was made on a reported budget of Rs 30 crore.
Lokah OTT release: Dulquer Clarifies Rumours
After the film’s huge success, there were many reports online about the movie coming soon on OTT platforms. Dulquer Salmaan addressed these rumours himself on X. He wrote, “Lokah isn’t coming to OTT anytime soon. Ignore the fake news and stay tuned for official announcements! #Lokah #WhatstheHurry.” He wanted fans to know that the movie will stay in theatres for now.
Kalyani Priyadarshan, the lead actress, also reposted Dulquer’s message. She encouraged fans to watch it in cinemas instead of waiting for digital release. She wrote, “With the visuals, sound, and Jakes’ incredible musical score… I think this would be an experience that’s best felt inside a theatre atmosphere ♥️🥰.” She made it clear that seeing the film on the big screen gives the best experience.

Dulquer also talked about how people reacted to the film. He said, “It’s proof that audiences today are open to different languages and fresh storytelling.” Dulquer said it felt amazing to see fans watching the movie on the first day, posting reviews, and making reels about it. He called the whole experience “surreal.”
