Mrunal Thakur Amid Relationship Speculation: In the midst of swirling relationship and even wedding rumours with Tamil cinema icon Dhanush, Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur recently shared heartfelt thoughts on love choosing to focus on what she believes love really means rather than the gossip that surrounds her personal life.
While social media has been buzzing with speculation about the pair including claims they might tie the knot on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2026 neither Mrunal nor Dhanush has publicly confirmed a romantic relationship.
What Mrunal Really Said About Love?
During a promotional interview for her latest music video “Bheegi Bheegi”, Mrunal was asked about her perspective on love and she answered in a way that felt deeply personal and refreshingly honest. According to reports, she described love as a “beautiful feeling” which all people should experience at some point in their lives.

Mrunal was then questioned if women in love are more giving. Disagreeing with the opinion completely, she said, “Not necessarily. I disagree. Anyone who is in love is more giving. But what is important in love is to accept it also. Sometimes, it is very difficult to receive love and acknowledge love. The definition of love has been changing.”
She explained that love doesn’t just make life sweeter, it can be transformative. In her words, love has the power to “change you into a better person” and even help heal emotional wounds from the past, comparing it to a form of internal healing or “reparenting”.

“Jab pyaar hota hai (when there’s love), you just do things for that person, you just surrender,” she said, underlining love’s instinctive, selfless nature.
Dhanush–Mrunal Thakur Wedding Rumours: The Buzz Around Rumoured Wedding
Dating Rumours With Dhanush
The buzz around Mrunal and Dhanush isn’t new. The reports started to emerge in August 2025 after the actors appeared together at the Son of Sardaar 2 premiere which created speculation among both media and fans.

Dhanush created additional discussion when he showed his support for Mrunal’s movie teaser which he shared on social media because fans interpreted it as a sign of their relationship.

Despite all this, there’s no official confirmation from either actor that they are dating or planning marriage. Rumours of a Valentine’s Day wedding have been widely circulated online and in entertainment headlines, but neither star has confirmed these details.
This echo of caution matches Mrunal’s own approach: she has historically kept her personal life private even previously mentioning that she believes in protecting her dating life from too much public “nazar”, or unwanted attention.
Mrunal’s Career
Instead of dwelling on rumours, Mrunal is clearly placing her energy into her work. She’s currently promoting “Bheegi Bheegi”, a romantic music video featuring the talents of A.R. Rahman, A.R. Ameen, Jasleen Royal, and co-star Dulquer Salmaan.

Additionally, she’s gearing up for the theatrical release of her upcoming film Do Deewane Seher Mein, co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, a project described as a “modern love story” that’s scheduled to hit screens on February 20, 2026.
