Following the completion of twenty five years in politics, Kunda MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya launched his political outfit Jansatta Dal in Lucknow on Friday. Thousands of supporters of Raja Bhaiya participated in the ‘Raja Bhaiya Rajat Jayanti Abhinandan Samaaroh’ at sprawling Ramabai ground and while delivering the speech, the strongman Raja Bhaiya stated “Often kin of people deceased in a murder attack and rape survivors are given additional compensation considering that they are members of backward class. However, it should be stopped and we will raise our voice against it”, a news website report stated.
“I also oppose spot arrests under the SC/ST Act. The rights of upper castes are being snatched and I have launched this crusade against favouritism of SCs”, he added, a newspaper website report claimed.
Ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha elections. political analysts claimed that the latest political development is a move to woo upper caste voters of Uttar Pradesh. Raja Bhaiya is considered as a mass ‘Thakur’ leader and holds a considerable amount of support in Allahabad and Pratapgarh regions.
