Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), who struggled with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party (SP) alliance in the previous times, will face another trouble in the state, as strongman Raja Bhaiya has made a massive announcement ahead of Lok Sabha polls 2019. Independent MLA Raghuraj Raj Pratap Singh alias ‘Raja Bhaiya’ has declared to float a new political outfit in Uttar Pradesh.  A close aide of Raja Bhaiya has told media in Lucknow on Thursday that the process for registering the new outfit was underway and discussion on the new party had already started on the official Facebook page of Raja Bhaiya. MLA has served as a minister during Kalyan Singh’s government and Akhilesh Yadav’s regime.

As per the sources, an application had been submitted to the Election Commission of India and three names had been given for the new political party, including ‘Jansatta Party’. Raja Bhaiya will also hold a rally in Lucknow on November 30, where he will officially launch the party. Senior politician Raja Bhaiya will also complete 25 years in politics in November 2018.

Raja Bhaiya, who is an MLA from Kunda in Pratapgarh district is considered as a mass ‘Thakur’ leader and holds a considerable amount of support in Allahabad and Pratapgarh regions. As per the sources, the decision of Raja Bhaiya to float a new party will mainly affect Thakur votes, as chief minister Yogi Adityanath, also belongs to Thakur community and Thakur votes are expected to divide between BJP and Jansatta Party.

With few months left for Loksabha polls, Raja Bhaiya’s step could hurl troubles for many including BJP and also his popularity among rural voters of Uttar Pradesh is an extra advantage for him.
