Congress vice-president, Rahul Gandhi has said that Sonia Gandhi, who was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi for treatment of an upset stomach, is much better. “There is nothing to worry,” he added.

“Ma was in Shimla & caught stomach bug so we got her back. Nothing to worry, she’s much better. Thanks for tremendous love and concern,” he tweeted. Notably, the 47-year-old is set to take over the party reins from his mother soon.

Sonia Gandhi rushed from Shimla to Delhi in an air ambulance after she complained of unease. She was admitted for observation.

Briefing about her health, Congress’s Communication Department chief, Randeep Surjewala said the party president is fine and healthy. “Cong president was indisposed with a minor issue and is absolutely fine and healthy. We thank all well-wishers for the concern,” he tweeted.
