How newly formed Kamal Nath government led to debacle of Congress in Madhya Pradesh?

On Wednesday Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath helped Congress worker in fulfilling his pledge. Durga Lal Kirar had vowed to not wear slippers or shoes till the time his party, Congress, returns to power in Madhya Pradesh. After helping Kirar fulfil his vow Nath shared a picture with him on Twitter. Former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh was also present at the event.

In the tweet, Kamal Nath wrote, “Today at the resident, met Durga Lal Kirar, a worker from Rajgarh, and helped him in wearing shoes. He had resolved that unless the Congress party forms a government in the state, he would not wear shoes. A salute to such workers, who wholeheartedly work day-and-night for the Congress.”

On Tuesday, 28 MLAs were included in the Kamal Nath cabinet in Madhya Pradesh. Governor Anandiben Patel oversaw the oath of office to the inducted ministers at the ceremony.

In Madhya Pradesh, the Congress won 114 seats two seats short of the majority in the House with 230 seats. The poll results were declared on December 11. Congress formed an alliance of 121 members. It included BSP(2), SP(1) and four independents. The election in Madhya Pradesh took place on 28 November.
