Days ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, famous Marathi actress Deepali Sayyad joined the Shiv Sena party on Thursday in presence of party chief Uddhav Thackeray.
Going by the reports, Shiv Sena may field Deepali Sayyad from the Mumbra Vidhan Sabha seat to contest against NCP’s Jitendra Awhad.
Elections to the 162-member Maharashtra Assembly will be held on October 21 and results will be declared on October 24. BJP will contest 162 seats and the Shiv Sena 126.
