The key Indian equity indices opened on a positive note on Thursday with the BSE Sensex trading over 380 points. The domestic market traded in line with the Asian markets as they rose in hopes of a resolution of the prolonged US-China trade war. US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said a deal could happen sooner than people think to end the trade tensions with China.
At 10.35 am, the Sensex was trading at 39,049.07, higher by 455.55 points or 1.18 per cent from the previous close of 38,593.52.
It had opened at 38,700.48 and touched an intra-day high 39,008.83 and a low of 38,676.11 points.
The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange was trading at 11,584.95, higher by+144.75 points or 1.27 per cent from the its previous close.
