Legendry Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi on Sunday took to Twitter to clear the air regarding the engagement rumors of his daughter Aqsa Afridi and fast-bowler Shaheen Afridi.

Afridi, who drew greater attention for his aggressive batting style during his cricketing career, confirmed that “both families are in touch”

Afridi, on Sunday, took to Twitter to confirm the reports. Afridi, in his Tweet, said that Shaheen Shah Afridi’s family has approached his family for their son’s marriage with his elder daughter.

Taking to Twitter, the former Pakistan skipper said, “Shaheen’s family approached my family for my daughter. Both families are in touch, matches are made in heaven, if Allah wills this match will be made too. My prayers are with Shaheen for his continued success on and off the field.”

Afridi said both families are in touch, adding that his prayers are with Shaheen for his continued success in the future.

Shahid Afridi is blessed with five daughters- Aqsa, Ansha, Ajwa, Asmara, and Arwa.

According to reports, Shahid Afridi’s family said that since Shaheen is playing cricket and Shahid Afridi’s daughter is still studying, the engagement has not yet been formally announced. The family has requested to avoid speculations about the matter.

Afridi, 20, made his international debut for Pakistan in April 2018 and his Test match debut for the national team in December 2018. Recently, he became the first youngest bowler to complete 100 T20 wickets.
