Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of India, Ramnath Kovind greeted the nation and wished for harmony and brotherhood in the society on the occasion of holy Id-ul-Zuha. Both the top leaders took to Twitter to express their best wishes.

“Best wishes on Id-ul-Zuha. May the spirit of harmony, brotherhood, and togetherness be furthered in our society,” tweeted PM Modi.

“Greetings to all my fellow citizens, especially to my Muslim brothers & sisters in India & abroad, on Idu’l Zuha #PresidentKovind,” tweeted President Kovind.

Id-ul-Zuha, also known as sacrifice feast or Bakr-Id, is the second of two Muslim holidays celebrated globally each year. The festival honors the will of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son on God’s command.
