Delhi MCD polls are just around the corners. Thus the preparations of the parties contesting the polls are on swing. Since the summer is also approaching, the Delhi BJP has set up a singular room wherein they can prepare for the upcoming polls.

The room is being set up outside the office. It has seven AC porta cabins for committees and ministers who are responsible of the three corporations.

“With summer setting in, we need offices and rooms for people to hold meetings with cadre and chalk out the poll strategy. Covered in saffron and green cloth, the tent-like structure also has space for pedestal fans. Yet another structure has been erected for media and food,” a party official said as per a report in Indian Express.

“This is just a part of the structure. Once the campaign picks up, we will have to host a lot of people. The cadre too need relief from the scorching heat,” said Rajesh Bhatia, general secretary, Delhi BJP.

In the meantime, the first poll committee meeting was held at the party office with Delhi unit chief Manoj Tiwari. They claimed to have picked 3,000 applicants out of 33,000. The Delhi BJP unit will go door-to-door to campaign for the polls.  The workers have also been given a brochure about the work being done by the Centre.
