The Mechanical Engineering Section, University Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University organized a webinar on “Advancement in Diesel Engines: Electronic Perspective”.
In his inaugural address, Prof. Arshad Umar, Principal, University Polytechnic, highlighted the importance of integrated technology related to diesel engines.
The Convener of the programme, Dr. Shujaat Yar Khan provided detailed introduction of the webinar and welcomed the participants.
The resource person, Er. Amit Saxena, Head, Maintenance Offshore, Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd, Mumbai, who is also an alumnus of Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, AMU, discussed the issues and better ways for the maintenance of the large capacity diesel engines. He shared his vast experience of working with the marine diesel engines.

He interacted with the participants and discussed in detail the modern trends in diesel fuel injection system which includes latest technologies like electronic fuel metering and electronic engine governors.

More than 200 participants from India and abroad, belonging to academics and industry, attended the webinar.
