MHT CET 2020 exam faces disruption at 5 centres due to Mumbai power outage; New dates @ mahacet.org

Yesterday due to Mumbai power outage at 5 centres holding the exams were affected following which MHT CET Engineering Exam or PCM group examination were disrupted.

The state CET Cell, Mumbai was all set to conduct the MHT CET Engineering Exam or PCM group examination from October 12 to October 20, 2020. However, yesterday due to Mumbai power outage at 5 centres holding the exams were affected following which exams were disrupted.

The Maharashtra State CET Cell regarding the same. The first session of exams at 5 centres was interrupted and likewise, conditions were in the second shift too due to failed train services in the city.

The exam would now be conducted on or before October 20, 2020, as stated by MHT CET Cell.

The notice reads, “the State CET Cell, Mumbai is conducting PCM group examination from 12th October to 20th October 2020 at 175 test centres in Maharashtra. On 12th October 2020, due to power outage in the Mumbai Region at around 10:00 am, Forst Session candidates at the following five-Test Centers faced disruption in the said examination. In the view of a power outage, to safeguard the interests of the appearing candidates, their PCM Examination would now be held on or before 20th October 2020.”

Candidates who had taken the first session exam at the above test Centres should check the new date and time for the PCM examination by visiting their account on the official website mhtcet2020.mahaonline.gov.in. SMS and email communication will also be sent to these candidates in due course by CET Cell.

According to the notice released related to the second shift, “to safeguard the interests of appearing candidates, if requests are received from such candidates whose PCM Examination was scheduled in the SECOND SESSION (2.30 pm to 5.30 pm) on 12th October 2020, and who could not reach their test centres in Mumbai Region and around in time or who reached their test centres too late and hence could not appear in the Examination, the State CET Cell would decide about the course of action, in the best interest of such candidates. The concerned candidates would be informed of the decision of the State CET Cell in due course.”
