Until the identity was released, the dog in past one year took nearly 60 kg of food grains by the fair price shop.

Owner of the dog Narsingh Bodar had mentioned three names in the ration card incuding his wife and son. During the verification it was found that Bodar pocketed the benefits by naming his dog as his son.

As quoted by national daily TOI, Anand Gole, Dhar food officer said, “Narsingh Bodar, owner of the canine, had mentioned names of his wife and son in his ration card which was made around a year ago. The son, Raju, turned out to be his dog.”
