Vijaya Raje Scindia
Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia belonging to the Gwalior royal family started her political career from the Congress in 1957. She was elected as an MP from Guna Lok Sabha seat. She became disenchanted in only 10 years and in 1967 she moved to the Jana Sangh. Jana Sangh was strengthened in Gwalior region due to Vijayaraje Scindia and despite Indira Gandhi’s wave in 1971, Jana Sangh managed to win three seats here. Madhav Rao Scindia
Madhav Rao Scindia was the third child of his parents among four sisters. Madhavrao Scindia was elected MP at 26, but he did not stick to Jana Sangh for a long time. Vasundhara Raje Scindia’s sister Yashodhara moved to America in 1977. They have three children but none showed interest in politics.
