MUDA Case: Relief for Siddaramaiah after police file closure report in the court

Mysuru: The Karnataka police have submitted a closure report in a case which involves former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who allegedly violated the rules of Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), after the investigation.

The police have submitted the closure report to the court.

The closure report has brought some relief for the former CM Siddaramaiah who is also the Chairman of the coordination committee of Congress-JD(S) government in Karnataka.

Police Commissioner A Subramaneshwar Rao told media that after the investigation it emerged that facts were mistaken and finally the closure report was submitted to the court.

He further added that content of the investigation can’t be revealed as the matter is sub-judice.

However, the complainant in the case has decided to challenge the police closure report in the upper court.

The complainant in the case has submitted petitions to the various concerned authorities.

One of the complainants N Gangaraju said, “Anticipating the similar development, I had insisted on changing the investigation officer (IO) in the case and also hand over the investigation to either Criminal Investigation Department (CID) or Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). In the meantime, the very development that came to my notice recently during the recent hearing on December 3 has emboldened me further and I will fight for justice tooth and nail.”
