Monsoon finally arrives in several parts of Mumbai today and it has triggered waterlogging in various low-lying areas. Areas in Mumbai such as Mulund, Dadar, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Bhandup, and parts of Thane, Palghar and Navi Mumbai witnessed heavy rains on Friday. Virar, Borivali, and Badlapur have been receiving rainfall since last night.
According to the weather forecast, Mumbai, Thane and adjoining areas are likely to receive heavy rainfall later in the day. Mumbai may receive over 200mm rainfall in the next 48 hours.
