AP MLA Kailash Gahlot won with 65,373 votes against his closest rival Ajeet Singh Kharkhari of the BJP. Najafgarh assembly is one of the seventy Delhi assembly constituencies in northern India.
It is a Vidhan Sabha seat in West Delhi region and South-West district of Delhi and falls under the South Delhi Municipal Corporation. It shares the inter-state border with Haryana. Najafgarh is part of 6. West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency.
Kailash Gahlot is also a cabinet minister of the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government, specifically, the Transport & Environment minister of Delhi.
