Navratri home loan 2025: India is celebrating Navratri with full energy and devotion this year. On September 24, people worship Maa Chandraghanta, the third form of Goddess Durga, who represents beauty, courage, and bravery. The festival will continue till October 2, ending with Dussehra. In India this festive season is considered very auspicious for making big financial decisions.

He explained that with interest rates coming closer and banks offering competitive home loan products, many buyers are comparing home loan options carefully before making decisions. Kathuria also added that demand is growing fast in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, where people are increasingly looking for home ownership and using digital lending platforms.

Navratri 2025: Home Loan Rates in India

  • SBI offers home loans with interest rates ranging from 7.50% to 8.70%. Their Maxgain (OD) scheme charges 7.75% to 8.95% and top-up loans range from 8% to 10.75%.
  • HDFC Bank charges 7.90% to 13.20% on its home loans.
  • ICICI Bank has rates between 8.75% to 9.40% for loans up to Rs 35 lakh, 8.75% to 9.55% for Rs 35-75 lakh, and 8.75% to 9.65% for above Rs 75 lakh. ICICI also offers a special 8.75% rate for borrowers with credit scores above 750 until September 30, 2025.

Kathuria advised buyers to carefully evaluate products, match affordability with long-term goals, and choose loans that support their life plans. Home loans also offer tax benefits under the Income Tax Act.

  • Section 24b givez up to Rs 2 lakh deduction on interest for self-occupied property.
  • Section 80C gives up to Rs 1.5 lakh exemption on the principal.
  • Section 80EEA gives up to Rs 1.5 lakh deduction for first-time homebuyers meeting certain criteria.
