NEET UG 2025 Result FAQs: If you’re preparing for NEET UG 2025 and feeling confused about what to expect, don’t worry. This article is here to help you understand everything in a simple way. From when the result will be out to how the exam works and what you should do after getting your result.

The result for NEET UG 2025 is expected to be declared by June 14, 2025, but it could come earlier, so keep checking the official website neet.nta.nic.in. Once it’s out, you can download your scorecard by entering your application number, your date of birth, and sometimes a security pin. You must download it yourself because NTA will not send your result by WhatsApp, mail or any other method. It will only be available on the NEET website.

Along with the result, the final answer key will also be released. But if you are thinking of challenging any answer after the result, you can’t. There is no option to raise objections after the result is announced. The objection window for the provisional answer key has already closed between June 3 and June 5, 2025.

FAQ

1. NEET answer sheets re-checked

Many students also ask if there is any way to get their answer sheets re-checked. The answer is no. The NEET UG OMR sheets are checked by machines using special software, and NTA doesn’t allow any re-evaluation or re-checking. However, students were given a chance to raise objections earlier when the provisional answer key came out. That was the only time they could point out mistakes.

2 .What to do after getting your NEET result?

Once your NEET result is out and you’ve checked your scorecard, keep it safe. You’ll need it later during counselling and admission. If you qualified, you can take part in counselling for medical and dental colleges. There are two types of counselling. One is the All India Quota or AIQ, which covers 15% of seats in government medical colleges across India. This is managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The other 85% of seats fall under the State Quota and are handled by state authorities.

3. What to do if You did not Qualify?

If you didn’t qualify this time, don’t panic. You won’t be allowed to participate in AIQ or State Quota counselling, but you can still explore other courses where NEET scores are accepted. You may also look at different academic options and prepare again for the next attempt if you wish.

4. Eligibility, form filling and important codes explained

To be eligible for NEET UG 2025, you should have passed your Class 12 exam or be appearing for it. You must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects. While filling the NEET form, you will also see something called “NEET Qualifying Codes” or “Qualification Codes.” These codes show your current academic status.

Whether you’re still studying, have passed Class 12, or finished a pre-university course, each code represents that. There are seven codes in total, from 01 to 07, and you must pick the correct one depending on your background. These codes are explained in detail in the NEET Information Bulletin, which you should check before selecting one.

5. NEET percentile Calculation

Another common question is how NEET percentile is calculated. It’s simple. Your percentile score tells you how many people you scored better than. So if you get the 90th percentile, that means your score is equal to or better than 90% of all candidates.
