Nepal Election Results 2026:The Nepal Election Result 2082 (2026) has emerged as one of the most dramatic political shifts in the country’s modern democratic history. The election results show that political forces supported by youth groups are transforming the political landscape of Nepal through vote counting in 165 constituencies located throughout the country.

The election, held on March 5, 2026, is the first major national vote since the 2025 youth-led protests that reshaped Nepal’s political landscape. The voting process involved millions of citizens whose results will decide the membership of the 275-member House of Representatives which includes 165 directly elected seats and 110 seats that will be selected through proportional representation.

Political Shift in Nepal

The early results show that Nepal’s traditional political parties will face major difficulties because voters have chosen to support new leaders and reform-oriented groups. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) led by Balendra “Balen” Shah has become the most powerful political force in the election by winning multiple constituencies.

Political analysts state that the election outcome demonstrates a generational transformation in Nepalese politics because younger voters and urban residents support new leaders who advocate transparency and modern governance.

Balendra Shah who formerly served as Kathmandu mayor and now leads the RSP has established a dominant electoral position which makes him likely to become a key figure in upcoming government formation efforts. Balen secured 68,348 votes against Mr. Oli’s 18,734 in a race that never became competitive from the outset. This was a constituency where the CPN-UML leader had won six of the seven elections held since 1990.

Pushpa Kamal Dahal who has spent many years in politics has maintained his electoral lead in Rukum East-1 constituency of Lumbini Province because certain areas still show backing for established political leaders.

Other RSP candidates have also secured victories in several urban constituencies especially within the Kathmandu Valley and its adjacent areas.
