EPFO E-PRAAPTI Portal: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation is getting ready to launch a new web portal called E-PRAAPTI. The idea is to help members find, track, link, and activate old and inoperative provident fund accounts. The government says the first stage will use a member ID-based system, so the rollout can stay safe and smooth.
After that, the plan is to widen access for people who do not remember or cannot find their old IDs. The portal is meant to cut down manual work, reduce paperwork, and make the whole process clearer and faster.
The name E-PRAAPTI stands for Employee Provident Fund Aadhaar-Based Access Portal for Tracking Inoperative Accounts. EPFO had already started a bigger reform push in late 2025, when the labour ministry said it would carry out mission-mode KYC checks for inoperative accounts and launch a digital platform for easier claim filing and settlement.

Huge Jump in Claim Settlements
Along with the new portal, Mansukh Mandaviya also shared strong EPFO numbers for 2025-26. He said the organisation settled a record 8.31 crore claims in the financial year, up from 6.01 crore in the previous year. He also said 5.51 crore of those were advance or partial withdrawals. Basically more people were able to take money from their PF accounts when they needed it.
He added that 6.68 crore members were able to file claims without uploading a cheque leaf image. He also said 1.59 crore members seeded their bank accounts without needing employer approval. Another big number was 70.55 lakh transfer claims that were auto-processed without help from either the member or the employer.
On top of that, 24.84 lakh transfer requests were started directly by members, and 29.34 lakh people corrected their profiles and used their PF accounts without going to EPF offices or employers.

Faster Service
The minister also said EPFO has made some good progress in speed. About 71.11% of advance claims were processed in auto mode within three days, which is better than 59.19% in the previous year. In April 2026 alone, EPFO settled 61.03 lakh claims. Mandaviya said nearly 74% of PF advance claims were handled through auto mode, and 98.70% of total claims were settled in less than 20 days.
That is why the new portal matters. It is not just about one more website. It is about making old PF money easier to find and easier to claim. For many workers, that can mean less running around, fewer forms, and less waiting.
