Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi lashing out at Delhi police for detaining the aggrieved family of the former army jawan who committed suicide over the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme asked, “Sharm nahi aati aapko? Aap ek jawan jo mar gaya hai uski family ko utha kar laye hain. Kya jurm hai unka?
Gandhi was released from the Tilak Marg police station after being detained by the Delhi Police twice. He slammed at the Centre and said, “Arrest me if you want, I said to the police. But why detain family of ex-serviceman? Whatever happened with them is wrong. When I asked the police at the station why he acted this way he said he had orders from higher up.”
He alleged that when the jawan’s family came out to meet him the family members were beaten and dragged to police station.
Rahul said that it is an undemocratic mentality, “A new kind of India is being created. It is Modiji’s India.”
Earlier, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was also detained by the police.

Sources said that Rahul Gandhi will visit Ramkishan’s family in Bhiwani on Thursday morning.
