Noida Airport License: The work on the new Noida International Airport is now in its final stage, and the airport is expected to receive its Aerodrome License from the DGCA by December 4. After that, the airport is likely to get inaugurated by December 10. This major step brings the big project very close to opening day, and many people in Delhi NCR are waiting for it because it will help reduce the heavy load on the Indira Gandhi International Airport, which is already full.

In a recent high-level meeting, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu met with top officers to check the progress.

A report from Jagran said the team talked about the pending work and the important steps left before the airport can get its license. During the meeting, the officers also paid special attention to security issues raised by BCAS and the CISF. They set a deadline of December 2 to fix everything.

Security Checks

During the inspection on Monday and Tuesday, officers from BCAS and CISF noticed a few gaps in the airport’s safety systems. These points were linked to security equipment and safety rules inside the airport. The authorities worked fast to fix all the issues. After the work was done, BCAS said it would send its final report to DGCA by December 2. This updated report will clear the path for the airport to receive its Aerodrome License on December 4.

The Noida International Airport is the first greenfield airport in this region. It is being built through a public-private partnership. Many people believe this airport will reduce the huge pressure on the Indira Gandhi International Airport and make travel much easier for people living in NCR, where air traffic keeps growing every year.

Inauguration Plans

The preparations for the opening ceremony have already started. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spent more than an hour walking around the airport to check the main spots.

He visited the domestic terminal, the place where the inauguration will happen, and the security points inside the airport. The team is also planning how to handle traffic near the airport on the opening day so everything runs smooth.

Once the DGCA gives the Aerodrome License, the airport will be allowed to begin flight operations. Officials say flights may start within 45 days, but there is also hope that services might begin even earlier if all the final checks are finished on time.
