Not even an ant was killed in air strike, says Congress MLC Haribhau Rathod

Congress Member of Legislative Council, Haribhau Rathod gesticulated abusively towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Yavatmal, on Sunday while talking about IAF airstrikes.

Haribhau Rathore, who comes from Maharashtra’s Yavatmal area, is a senior leader and has worked extensively for the betterment of Dalits.

Earlier, last week, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of playing politics over the IAF air strike in Balakot to draw political mileage.

Addressing a press conference in Jaipur, Gehlot had said that Modi should answer the queries raised by senior Congress leaders Digvijaya Singh and Kapil Sibal, and reveal the exact figures of the terrorists killed in the Indian Air Force (IAF) air strike on February 26.

Gehlot had also raised doubts over Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah’s claims that over 250 terrorists were killed after the IAF bombed a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) training camp in Balakot.

Bharatiya Janata Party Chief BS Yeddyurappa had drawn himself into a controversy by saying that India’s pre-emptive strikes on terror camps in Pakistan has created a wave in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will help the party win over 22 of 28 seats in the state in the coming Lok Sabha polls.

Soon after drawing flak, Yeddurappa in a 2 part tweet later wrote, “I would like to clarify that my yesterday’s statement has been completely misinterpreted. I have highest regard for our armed forces. I salute the bravery of our men in fighting for the country’s safety.” He added, “I stand along with my fellow countrymen and pray for the safe return of Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. To me, The Nation comes first and then the party. ”
