NuRe Bharat Network, a consortium led by 3i Infotech, and RailTel have launched the PIPOnet mobile application. The brand-new passenger app for trains seeks to provide all services, including e-ticketing, travel, and entertainment apps. RailTel reportedly engaged into a five-year exclusive partnership with NuRe Bharat Network, a joint venture consortium comprised of 3i Infotech, FISST, and Yellow.

Sax Krishna, the chief executive officer of NuRe Bharat Network, told the news agency PTI that the app will be available on the Android Play Store within two weeks. We’ve integrated Netflix, Uber, and Ola into the application. Passengers will be able to reserve e-tickets, platform tickets, porters, lodging, and refreshments via PIPOnet. There will be space for advertisers seeking to reach passengers. The scope is enormous. We anticipate generating revenues of Rs 1 trillion over the next five years, said Krishna.

The PIPOnet programme targets India

He stated that PIPOnet will enable advertisers to communicate with the people of Tier 1, 2, 3, and 4 Indian cities.

“Around 1,7 million users are connected to our wireless network. Our estimates indicate that approximately one million villages are within five kilometres of the Indian Railways. Our associates can attract a large number of advertisers by utilising cutting-edge digital technology. Sanjay Kumar, chairman and managing director of RailTel, told PTI that the platform allows for a variety of other initiatives.

According to reports, Nure Bharat Network will split with RailTel 40 percent of the revenue generated by the services, or a minimum of Rs 14 crore per year.
