Nvidia’s launch of the RTX 4000: An imminent development is the RTX 40 Super graphics cards from Nvidia. In anticipation of CES 2024, Nvidia has teased the release of its mid-generation refresh of the Ada Lovelace GPUs. It is anticipated that several midrange to high-end graphics cards from the RTX 4000 series will be updated with potentially more competitive price points, increased CUDA core counts, and enhanced clock rates.

However, this remains conjecture until Nvidia discloses the nature of its recent development. How to watch the RTX 40 Super Launch: If you want to be present when the news breaks regarding how potent (and perhaps even affordable?) these graphics cards are, follow these instructions.

Special Address by NVIDIA at CES 2024

Early in January, Nvidia provided a teaser for the RTX 40 Super Cards’ release on X (previously Twitter), alluding to a specific online venue on a predetermined date and time: Eight a.m. PT (eleventh yet); Twitch. tv/Nvidia. The eighth of January.

However, that is not the only location where the broadcast can be viewed. Nvidia will also make its YouTube channel active on the same date and time for the special pre-CES launch of these graphics cards.

Anticipations for the debut of Nvidia’s RTX 40 Super

It is anticipated that Nvidia will introduce several new RTX 40 Super graphics cards, although their range will not be exhaustive. This is an addition of a few mid-tier GPUs to compete with AMD’s reduced pricing and to utilize some of Nvidia’s better-binned GPUs that have been in storage since the initial RTX 40 launch; it is not a complete refresh.

Nvidia is rumored to unveil the RTX 4070 Super, RTX 4080 Super, and RTX 4070 Super at its pre-CES event, according to leaks and rumors. Reportedly, the RTX 4080 Super will receive a 500-core increase in CUDA cores, a few percentage point enhancements to its base and boost clocks, and a marginally quicker memory. The RTX 4070 Ti Super will have an additional 800 CUDA cores and a wider memory interface compared to its non-super sibling, for a total of approximately 300 percent more memory bandwidth. Reportedly, more than 1300 additional CUDA cores will be added to the RTX 4070 Super, bringing it closer to the RTX 4070 Ti.

The release of these cards is scheduled to occur in January, beginning with the 4070 Super and concluding with the 4080 Super by the end of the month.

At this time, nothing is certain; therefore, do not consider this to be a fact. In addition to the purported specifications, intriguing disclosures have surfaced regarding pricing. It is estimated that the RTX 4080 Super will cost between $1,000 and $1,200, which is comparable to the cost of the current RTX 4080. It is rumored that the RTX 4070 Ti will cost $800, while the RTX 4070 Super will cost only $600. These prices are very similar to those of the extant non-Super models, indicating that Nvidia is employing more aggressive pricing with its Super refresh to more effectively compete with AMD’s RTX 7000 GPUs, which have been reduced in price.
