Under this scheme, women will receive financial assistance when they give birth to a child. If a woman gives birth to a boy, she will get Rs 10,000. If the child is a girl, the amount will be Rs 12,000. This incentive is meant to help women with the health and nutrition of both the mother and the child.

Women from Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) will also receive the same amount for each live birth, whether it’s a boy or a girl. This scheme will benefit about 4.5 lakh pregnant and lactating women in Odisha.

The scheme will also provide a higher incentive for Anganwadi workers and helpers. Anganwadi workers will now get Rs 250 instead of the previous Rs 200, and helpers will receive Rs 150, which is an increase from the previous Rs 50.
