One Piece Season 2 Coming in 2026: Netflix gave people a big surprise in 2023 when it released a live action version of One Piece. The first season, taken from Eiichiro Oda’s famous manga, made a strong mark. People loved the fighting scenes, the emotional story, and the actors who played the Straw Hat crew. The show pulled people who have never read the manga or watched the anime before.
Now Netflix has teased the next chapter. In a video shared on YouTube, the streamer showed that the Straw Hat pirates are ready to sail toward the dangerous Grand Line. The short teaser video runs for 1 minute and 18 seconds and shows Iñaki Godoy’s Luffy and his pirate friends getting set for the new adventure. It also gave fans a look at some behind-the-scenes moments while filming season 2.
Release Date
The second season will release on Netflix itself, though the exact date is not out yet. All that is known is it will arrive sometime in 2026. Fans are waiting for the official date to be confirmed by the platform.
Cast details
Season 2 will bring many new faces. Lera Abova joins as Miss All-Sunday, Sendhil Ramamurthy comes as Nefertari Cobra, Katey Sagal plays Dr Kureha, Charithra Chandran takes the role of Miss Wednesday, Mark Harelik will act as Dr Hiriluk, Rigo Sanchez comes as Dragon and Callum Kerr plays Smoker. Along with them, the original main crew will also return. Monkey D. Luffy is again played by Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu comes back as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar returns as Sanji.
There are even more names joining in the next season. Yonda Thomas, Mark Penwill, Anton David Jeftha, Daniel Lasker, Camrus Johnson, Jazzara Jaslyn, James Hiroyuki Liao, Ipponmatsu, Sophia Anne Caruso, David Dastmalchian, Werner Coetser, Brendan Murray, Clive Russell, Julia Rehwald, Rob Colletti, Ty Keogh and Joe Manganiello are all part of the fresh cast.
What happens in season 2?
Netflix has teased that things will get tougher for the Straw Hats in the new season. The platform has said season 2 will bring “fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet.” The crew of Luffy will “set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line — a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn.”
The Grand Line is a special ocean path that cuts the world into two parts which is Paradise and the New World. In this second chapter, the Straw Hat pirates will travel through this wild sea looking for the world’s greatest treasure. Their journey will bring them to strange islands.
