Pakistan gets India’s top terror suspect, Farukh Devdiwala

New Delhi:  In a major setback to the Indian agencies, authorities in UAE have handed over one of the India’s terror suspect and mastermind to Pakistan.

Farukh Devdiwala who is is one of the most wanted Indian terrorists was recently nabbed in Dubai and has now been handed over to Pakistan.

He has been accused of conspiracy in the murder of late Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya and various other cases.

A Devdiwala worked closely with Salim Kutta who is a member of Musafirkhaana’s Arjun Gang.

Devdiwala was apprehended on inputs of Indian agencies and was handed over to the neighbouring country since it claimed that he was a Pakistani citizen.

The Indian authorities were probing a terror module run by Devdiwala with Pakistan’s ISI involved aimed at recruiting terrorists to attack Indian soil.

Two such terror suspects were nabbed from Mumbai and Gandhinagar by Maharashtra ATS in May.

Both these suspects had undergone training in Pakistan’ terror camps and had returned to India reportedly to launch terror attacks. Some of the targets included top political leaders and establishments.

A similar modus operandi was used by Pakistan while trying to gain custody of Munna Jhibgada, the alleged shooter who shot underworld don Chota Rajan in Bangkok on orders of Dawood Ibrahim.

The case is still pending in a Thailand even after the Mumbai police provided fingerprints, a dossier of Jhibgada to the Thai court.

At that time Pakistan had claimed Jhibgada to be a Pakistani national and the similar Modus operandi was used in UAE for seeking Devdiwala’s custody. The deportation reportedly was done a week ago.
