Humaira Asghar: Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali was found dead in her flat located in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase VI, Karachi. The police recovered her body on Tuesday, July 8. She was just 32 years old. The shocking discovery came after nearly two weeks since she is believed to have passed away. Her body was found in a decomposed state.
The police were called in when the flat owner, who had not heard from her for a long time and had been waiting for unpaid rent, decided to begin legal action. After getting court directions, the Gizri police visited her apartment in Ittehad Commercial area around 3:15 pm. When no one responded, they forced their way inside. A strong smell was coming from the flat, and it was locked from the inside, including the balcony, which made it clear that no one had left.

South DIG Syed Asad Raza confirmed these details to local media. The officers at the scene did not find any early signs of foul play. The police called forensic experts from the Crime Scene Unit to collect evidence from the location.
Humaira’s body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) where doctors will now carry out further medical procedures. Dr. Summaiya Syed, a police surgeon at the hospital, said that her body was in a very advanced state of decomposition. The cause of death has not been confirmed yet and is kept reserved for now until the postmortem report is ready.
She Lived Alone with No Contact
According to police reports, Humaira had been staying alone in that rented apartment and had not paid rent for the past few months. She wasn’t in touch with anyone recently. Police are now checking her mobile records to find and contact her relatives. They are also continuing the investigation to understand how and when she may have passed away.

Humaira Asghar was known for her appearances on screen and on social media. She took part in the ARY reality show Tamasha Ghar and also acted in the 2015 film Jalaibee. She was active in many creative fields. As her Instagram profile shows, she was not just an actress and model but also a theatre artist, painter, and sculptor. She called herself a fitness lover too. On Instagram, she had over 713,000 followers. Her last post on the platform was on September 30, 2024, where she shared a series of candid pictures.
Police are waiting for the full postmortem report to learn the exact cause of death. More updates will be shared once the investigation moves forward.
