Parasakthi OTT Release: After releasing in cinemas during Pongal on January 10, 2026, the Tamil film Parasakthi will now soon be available on OTT platforms. The movie stars Sivakarthikeyan and Ravi Mohan and had a steady run in theatres. Now, people who missed it on the big screen can watch it at home through its digital release.

Parasakthi will start streaming on ZEE5 from February 7, 2026. The movie has already appeared on the ZEE5 app list, which confirms the release date. With this, the film’s theatre run has officially ended and it is moving fully to online streaming.

Story and Cast
The story of Parasakthi takes place in Tamil Nadu during the 1960s, a time full of political tension. The film follows Chezhaiyan, also called Che, who works as a railway employee. He lives a quiet life and puts his family as a priority. Along with his work he also takes responsibility for his younger brother Chinna Durai, a college-going youth who is active in protests against injustice.
At the start of the movie, Che avoids fights and does not support violent methods. He wants no part in conflict. Things take a dark turn when a cruel police officer named Thirunaadan comes into their world. Thirunaadan controls people through fear and force to crush protests. One painful event shakes Che deeply and this moment makes him question his old thinking. And step by step, he chooses to support the struggle he once stayed away from.
The film shows Che’s personal journey, his bond with his brother, and the sacrifices people make when they stand up against injustice.
Sivakarthikeyan plays the main role, while Ravi Mohan appears as the villain. The film also stars Atharvaa Murali, Sreeleela, Kulappulli Leela, Prakash Belawadi, Dev Ramnath, Prithvi Rajan, Guru Somasundaram, Sandhya Mridul, and Chetan. There are also special guest appearances by Rana Daggubati, Basil Joseph, and Dhananjaya.

Makers of the Film
The film is directed by Sudha Kongara. She also co-wrote the screenplay with Arjun Nadesan and Ganeshaa, based on a story by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi. The dialogues were written by Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy. GV Prakash Kumar composed the songs and background music. Cinematography is by Ravi K. Chandran, and editing is done by Sathish Suriya. The movie is produced by Aakash Baskaran under the Dawn Pictures banner.
