The country is facing a lot of protests all around due to the passing of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Many Bollywood celebs have also voiced their opinions on ongoing protests happening in various parts of the country.
On December 17 Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra told a bold stand on the issue. And her post over anti-CAA protests led to the speculations that she was being dropped as the brand ambassador of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign.
Parineeti Chopra had posted, “If this is what’s gonna happen every time a citizen expresses their view, forget #CAB, we should pass a bill and not call our country a democracy anymore! Beating up innocent human beings for speaking their mind? BARBARIC.”
