Nearly 50 bills are scheduled to be presented in the parliament, including the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill

Parliament Winter Session LIVE UPDATES:

The winter session of parliament, which will continue till December 13, starts today. Nearly 50 bills are expected to be tabled in the 26-day long session that will witness over 20 sittings.

Several important bills include Taxation Law Amendment Bill 2019, Bill to ban e-cigarettes, Insolvency and Bankruptcy(Second Amendment Bill 2019, Medical Termination of Pregnancy Amendment Bill, National Police University Bill.

The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, which seeks to grant citizenship to Hindus, Jains, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Parsis from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan, is also on the cards.
