Patient admitted at AIIMS Delhi, hangs himself, probe underway

Kerala: 55-year-old who tested positive for COVID-19 dies by suicide in Thrissur hospital

A patient admitted at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi, hanged himself on Thursday morning. The incident has spread shockwaves in the hospital.

No suicide note has been retrieved yet and the probe is underway, said Delhi Police.

Few days back, a psychiatrist working at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi allegedly ended his life on Friday. The resident doctor jumped to death from the 10th floor of the hostel. The deceased was identified as Dr Anurag Kumar. According to the police, Kumar has not left behind a suicide note.

According to Atul Kumar Thakur, DCP (south), Kumar ended his life at around 5 pm on Friday. The doctor’s phone was recovered from the 10th floor of the hostel.
