Petrol, Diesel price today January 23, 2021: There has been a spike in petrol and diesel prices in past days like it has never been, with petrol prices breaking records in Delhi, similarly diesel prices skyrocketing at Rs 76 in Delhi, the prices for petrol and diesel are only rising, and that too at a tremendous speed which is breaking all records all along with the country.
The price of petrol and diesel has been spiked since January 6, 2021, as there has been no drop in the prices.
Today, the price of petrol and diesel has increased by 25 paise and 26 paise per litre respectively. Basically, as the international prices have risen up, the prices for petrol and diesel have risen too in India.
Another reason for the increase in prices is the corona vaccine, as we fight the deadly coronavirus past one year, finally a piece of good news is around. That with the vaccine, people are able o fight off this virus, and that has caused a global moment for an increase in prices of petrol and diesel.
However, the chances of the price to reduce in coming days are less. In this month alone, January, the price of petrol has increased by around Rs 1.99, with petrol rate being Rs 85.70 per litre and diesel price increasing by Rs 2.01 and being at Rs 75.88 now from Rs 73.87, which was in the start of the month of January.
If we compare the prices of petrol and odes to one year back, in 2020, the petrol price on January 23, 2020, was Rs 74.65, and with this year price being RS 85.70, the petrol price in one year has risen to new heights, with a difference of Rs 11.01 per litre. Similarly, one year back diesel was at Rs 67.86, and as it is now near about Rs 75.88, the price difference is of Rs 8.02 in just one year.
