PM Modi visits hometown Vadnagar, holds roadshow

On the second day of his visit to Gujarat on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached his birthplace and hometown Vadnagar in Mehasana district and held a road show there.

He earlier visited the Hatkeshwar Temple and offered prayers there. He visited his school as well in Vadnagar.

PM Modi dedicated Vadnagar’s GMERS Medical College to the nation, in the presence of Gujarat chief minister, Vijay Rupani, deputy chief minister, Nitin Patel and union minister, J.P. Nadda.

He will also address a public meeting here today.

Prime Minister will also launch the Intensified Mission Indradhanush, to accelerate progress towards the goal of full immunisation coverage. The mission will provide greater focus on urban areas and other pockets of low immunization coverage.

The Prime Minister will also distribute e-tablets to health workers to mark the launch of ImTeCHO (Innovative mobile-phone Technology for Community Health Operations).
