In the wake of the centre’s move to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes and the chaos created by the unplanned decision, Senior IAS officer Ashok Khemka has criticised the government for poorly implementing the policy.
Khemka tweeted “A policy is good as its implementation. Objectives of removing old high-value notes laudable, but ill planned and poorly implemented.

Earlier on November 8, Khemka praised the government’s decision to demonitise high valued notes and called it as a ‘master stoke’ by government to curb black money and fake currency.
Demonitization of 500 and 1000 rupee notes is master stroke by Central Government to curb black economy and fake currency. Kudos!

While a twitter user asked him to lend his capability instead of critcism, Khemka replied “I am always at the disposal of Government. In what manner my service gets used is unfortunately not my prerogative”.
Khemka was well known for his toughest stand, which cancels the mutation of Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra’s illegal land deal in Gurgaon. He has been transferred 45 times in his 23 year service for exposing the corruption in various departments.
Earlier, music composer Vishal Dadlani also criticised government for poorly implementing the demonetisation policy.
