The National Secretary of the All India Hindu Mahasabha, Pooja Shakun Pandey and husband Ashok Pandey, absconding in connection with the recreating assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, was arrested by the Aligarh police on Tuesday night while entering Noida from Delhi.

This is confirmed by SP City Ashutosh Dwivedi. They say that the team was sent to Delhi when the location was found. While entering Noida, both of them were arrested.

On the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, the National Secretary of the All India Hindu Mahasabha, along with her husband and other office-bearers, had enacted the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi and garlanded the statue of Nathuram Godse, a Hindu nationalist who had killed Gandhi in 1948.at Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh.

In this case, a case was filed against ten people, including Pooja and Ashok in Thana Gandhi Park. Police arrested seven people in the past and sent them to jail Pooja and Ashok were on the run. Both had filed a surrender petition in the court. Instead of surrendering, they had announced to dump the confluence on the new moon in Kumbh to confuse the two policemen.

Both of them tried to mislead the police by showing presence in Pryagraj but the surveillance team traced mobile phone location. Two days before his location was found in Haryana, police teams from Aligarh were sent to Haryana and Delhi.
